Located on Kanzleistrasse 119 in Zurich Wiedikon, paus. is a new tea concept built around stone-ground teas, modern drinks and simple everyday rituals. Zurich has no shortage of coffee spots, but tea is starting to look a little different.

The idea is simple: take tea beyond the classic tea bag and turn it into something smoother, more contemporary and more fun to explore. Think familiar teas, reimagined through stone-ground preparation, creative drinks and a slower way of drinking.

More Than Matcha

At paus., you’ll find familiar teas in a completely different form.

Alongside Matcha, the menu explores stone-ground varieties like Earl Grey, Assam, Oolong and Jasmine. Instead of steeping the leaves and removing them, the tea is finely milled into powder and whisked directly with water.

The result is smooth, full-bodied and surprisingly different from the tea you might already know.
